PingRSS is a ping monitoring tool developed by xiaoz, allowing users to intuitively view network latency and packet loss rates from domestic locations to international hosts.

Technical Implementation

The data for PingRSS comes from another network quality (PING) detection tool, http://smartping.org/. Its core functionality is implemented by SmartPing; xiaoz simply reads the API data provided by SmartPing and adds a template. We ultimately owe thanks to the excellent open-source project, SmartPing.

Data Accuracy

PingRSS has two monitoring nodes: one from Sichuan Telecom and another from Tencent Cloud (Guangdong). Since network conditions vary for each user, the monitoring results are not entirely accurate and are intended for reference by some users. If you have idle domestic servers, you can contact me to serve as a monitoring node.

Monitored Nodes

Currently, the focus is on monitoring foreign servers. The monitored nodes mostly come from hosting provider websites, review blogs, and contributions from users. If you need to monitor more nodes, please leave a message.
