Rectified was established in 2014, though their website suggests operations may have begun as early as 2003 under a different name. They offer affordable VPS plans with 128MB of RAM for just $1.5 per month, or $12 annually, providing excellent value.

Rectified VPS Interface

Rectified operates on a KVM architecture, offers unlimited traffic, and includes 20GB of free DDoS protection as a key highlight. While 128MB of RAM might seem limited, it is perfectly capable for specific tasks such as running Shadowsocks scripts. Higher configurations are also available if needed.

Simple Testing

A basic ping test and route tracing were conducted on Rectified's VPS. Located in Los Angeles, USA, the performance is quite good after enabling BBR.

Additional Notes

When attempting to use the CentOS system, the author encountered issues installing dependencies for the Shadowsocks script by Qiushui Yibing. Switching to Ubuntu resolved the issue, and enabling BBR proceeded smoothly.

Important Considerations

  • It is recommended not to use a proxy during the initial registration.
  • Provide accurate information to avoid being flagged for fraud.
  • If you are unable to purchase products after registration, submit a ticket to customer support.
  • Do not use the same PayPal account to pay for multiple different accounts, as this will result in an immediate ban.
