OneNav is an open-source, free bookmark (navigation) management program developed by xiaoz using PHP + SQLite 3. It features a clean interface, simple installation, and ease of use. OneNav helps you centrally manage browser bookmarks, solving the difficulties of synchronization and access across devices, platforms, and browsers, allowing for one deployment and access anywhere.

About the OneNav Browser Extension

The OneNav browser extension must be used in conjunction with the OneNav main program. The extension allows for more convenient searching and adding of bookmarks. The released OneNav browser extension 1.1.0 is the second refactor by xiaoz, and this version adds support for the Firefox browser, which is recommended for installation and testing.

Installing the OneNav Browser Extension

Currently, the OneNav extension supports Chromium-based browsers and Firefox. The installation links are as follows; simply visit them to install:

Using the OneNav Browser Extension

After installing the extension, click the plugin icon in the upper right corner of the browser and pin OneNav for easier access.

Open the "OneNav Main Program Backend - System Settings - Get API" and click the one-click copy button (available only for version 0.9.35) to obtain the API Token information.

If the one-click copy button is not available, click "Calculate Token," manually copy the Token information, and fill it into the OneNav extension as shown below. **Note: Before configuring, it is recommended to click the "Test" button first to ensure the information is correct, and then click "Save."

The main interface of the OneNav browser extension is shown below. The top section allows for global bookmark search, while the middle area displays all categories. Clicking a category expands to show all bookmarks within it.

Global bookmark search requires two or more keywords to trigger, as shown below.

After expanding or searching for bookmarks, you can edit or delete them.

If categories or bookmarks you added do not appear immediately, it may be due to caching (for performance reasons). Simply click the refresh button at the bottom right of the extension.

When you open a webpage, you can click the bookmark icon and switch to the "Add Link" button at the bottom to add it. Additionally, the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + F is supported to quickly open the OneNav browser extension.

If you find the above addition steps too cumbersome, we also provide a simpler and faster method: simply right-click and select "Add to OneNav," then choose the corresponding category to add quickly (defaulted to private links).

At the same time, our OneNav extension now supports the Firefox browser; Firefox users are welcome to try it out.
