How to Directly Download Large Files from Baidu Netdisk Using Tampermonkey

Recently, Baidu Cloud was officially renamed Baidu Netdisk, and its interface has become cleaner. However, it has long restricted download speeds and prevented direct downloads of large files. Fortunately, this issue can be resolved.

There are many cracked client versions available online that claim to bypass speed limits, but they are not recommended as their safety is uncertain. Instead, this article demonstrates how to use a Tampermonkey script to achieve direct downloads of large files from Baidu Netdisk.

1. Preparation

It is recommended to use the Chrome or Firefox browser. This guide uses Chrome for demonstration. Open the Chrome Web Store (a proxy may be required) and search for the keyword Tampermonkey. Add this extension to Chrome.

2. Install the Script

Tampermonkey provides many scripts shared by users. You can directly visit the following page to install the script:

Click Install this script.

3. Download Tools

It is recommended to use multi-threaded download tools such as EagleGet or IDM, though Thunder can also be used. It is advisable to add the corresponding browser extension to allow Chrome to call the download tool directly.

4. Test Download

Once Tampermonkey and the script are installed, open the Baidu Netdisk address: http://pan.baidu.com/. Select a file you wish to download. You will see a new Download Assistant button on the right side. Click Direct Download. Normally, it will trigger the download tool to start downloading. For example, XiaoZ Blog defaults to using the EagleGet multi-threaded download tool, which can fully utilize your bandwidth for fast speeds.

Other Notes

1. If you do not have a proxy, you can use the Firefox browser. The method is similar: install the extension first, then install the script.
2. If your browser does not directly call the download tool, refer to How to Use Third-Party Tools to Download Baidu Netdisk Resources to manually copy the download link.
3. As Baidu Netdisk updates, this method is not guaranteed to work long-term. Therefore, it is recommended to visit the Script List to find other similar scripts.
4. This method not only bypasses Baidu Netdisk's restrictions on large files but, when used with multi-threaded download tools, also bypasses speed limits.
5. If the script is installed successfully but the Download Assistant button does not appear on Baidu Netdisk, try restarting the browser.
