Scaleway is a European cloud service provider, which is a subsidiary of the well-known company Online (although it is said that Scaleway has recently acquired Online, so it's unclear what the situation is). If you have used dedicated servers, you should have heard of Online. Scaleway also provides object storage services, with the first 75GB free to use.
Scaleway accounts are separate from Online accounts. If you already have an Online account, it cannot be used for Scaleway. You need to visit the Scaleway website: https://console.scaleway.com/register to register separately. To activate your account, you need to link a credit card. I tried using a virtual card from Allpay but it failed to verify, so I used my CMB Visa card and it was successfully verified.
You can visit https://www.scaleway.com/en/object-storage/ for an introduction to Scaleway object storage. The first 75GB of storage and the first 75GB of traffic per month are free, as shown in the following images.
After your account is approved, you can create buckets (storage containers) in the backend. The available regions are only Paris and Amsterdam, so don't expect the speed to be ideal.
Although the first 75GB of Scaleway object storage is free to use, it currently only supports European regions, so the speed is relatively slow. Scaleway Object Storage is compatible with the AWS S3 interface, so it can be used for simple data backup.
