How to Migrate OCBC OneToken to a New Phone: A Complete Guide
Recently, I switched to a new phone and planned to migrate my OCBC OneToken to the new device for continued use. During the migration process, I encountered an error, but after some trial and adjustment, I successfully completed the migration. In this article, I will share how to migrate OCBC OneToken to a new phone, hoping to provide some help for those who need to perform the same operation.

What is OCBC OneToken
OCBC OneToken is a digital token service provided by OCBC Bank (Overseas Chinese Banking Corporation Limited) in Singapore, designed to replace traditional physical security tokens. By generating secure verification codes on the user's mobile phone, it allows users to easily complete transaction verification and login, improving operational convenience and security.
If you want to have an overseas bank account for stock trading and other operations, you can consider OCBC Bank (Singapore). You only need to use your domestic passport and ID card to apply online. Before You Start
To avoid migration failure, before migrating OCBC OneToken to a new phone, you need to prepare:
- Transfer the OCBC balance out (e.g., to WISE) to avoid the risk of being unable to log in to the app if the migration fails. This step is optional.
- Prepare your OCBC username and login PIN. These were set by you when you applied. If you don't remember them, it is recommended to contact customer service for assistance first.
- Internet access tool. A Singapore IP is not strictly required; the author used a US IP successfully.
- Prepare the PIN code for your OCBC debit card. If you have forgotten it, please reset it in the OCBC APP under Bank Card Services >> Reset Bank Card Password.
Migrating OCBC OneToken
First, download the OCBC Digital app on your new phone. The download links are as follows:
- Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ocbc.mobile
- App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/ocbc-digital-mobile-banking/id292506828
Then, enter your Access Code (Username) and PIN to log in.

Next, the app will prompt: "You have already set up OCBC OneToken on another device". This step will disable the OCBC OneToken on the original device. Directly click the button at the bottom: Activate with SMS OTP and OCBC Card Password.

Next, you might encounter an error message: "Oh no! Something went wrong". Even if you keep retrying, it still fails.

Don't worry. After trial and error, I found that the issue was caused by network problems, possibly because OCBC accessed some resources that were blocked. At this time, we need to use the Internet access tool, enable global proxy, and then repeat the steps above.
After enabling the Internet access tool, everything went smoothly. Continue to enter the SMS verification code and OCBC debit card password for verification according to the app prompts.

During the activation period, it is best to keep the OCBC app in the foreground and avoid switching to the background to prevent unexpected issues. The activation process takes about a few tens of seconds. Finally, you will see the message: "Your OCBC Digital Security Token (OCBC OneToken) has been successfully activated."

At this point, I successfully migrated OCBC OneToken from the old phone to the new phone. After the migration is complete, the OCBC OneToken on the old phone automatically becomes invalid, and the OCBC Digital app will also automatically log out.

Conclusion
The above are the detailed steps for migrating OCBC OneToken from an old phone to a new phone. It is particularly important to note that if you have forgotten your Access Code (Username) or PIN, do not attempt the migration operation to avoid locking your account. Additionally, for security reasons, you may consider transferring the balance in your OCBC account to a WISE account before migration. Once the migration is successful and everything is normal, you can transfer the balance back.
