Account Opening Process

I applied in the afternoon and received a call from Shouqianba the next morning. I added their customer service on WeChat and they informed me about the required documents. I applied as an "individual business" and it is said that individual users can also apply, but with a limit.

Preparing Documents

• Front/back of the ID card of the legal representative
• Screenshot of the bank card for collection
• Photos of the store signboard and interior
• Business license of the company

Waiting for Account Opening

After providing the documents to the customer service, they will help you with the application (I would prefer a self-service application channel where users can fill in the information themselves). After a while, you will receive an SMS reminder from Shouqianba, which includes "login account/login password/management password". Save them for later use.

The document review usually takes a few hours to complete. If there are any issues with the documents, the customer service will ask you to prepare them again. If everything goes smoothly, the account can be opened on the same day without any fees.

Collection Tools

There are several collection tools available, choose according to your needs.

If you don't need a physical collection device for now, you can inform the customer service that you don't need it for the time being and ask them to activate the "electronic collection code" for you. The electronic collection code is free of charge, and you can consider purchasing a physical collection tool later if needed.

Activating the Electronic Collection Code

After the successful application for the electronic collection code, you need to make a payment of 2 yuan to activate it (just scan the code with your WeChat or Alipay). The customer service will inform you that if there are no transactions within 7 days, the collection code may be closed and you will need to apply for it again.

Collection Fees

• Alipay/WeChat Pay collection fee: 0.38%
• UnionPay QuickPass (0-1000 yuan) collection fee: 0.38%, above 1000 yuan: 0.6%
• BestPay collection fee: 0.6

In summary, the fees range from 0.38% to 0.6%, which is relatively cheap.

Settlement Time

After the user makes a payment, the money will be credited to Shouqianba immediately, and then Shouqianba will make a unified payment to your designated bank account the next day (including weekends and holidays).

I couldn't use UnionPay QR code payment (not UnionPay QuickPass) during my test.
