Pzea's official website does not provide a detailed company introduction. Based on the information I found online, it seems that Pzea has been established for about 6 or 7 years. Before making a purchase, I searched for Pzea on Hostloc and found that it has a good reputation. Currently, Pzea is mainly promoting its Asian servers (Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan) which are directly connected to mainland China, so the prices are higher.

The OpenVZ VPS has been discontinued on the official website, and all servers now use the KVM architecture. The Mini (512M) package is currently out of stock. I consulted the customer service and was told that the resources in the Japan data center are tight, and there are no related discount activities. Unfortunately, I had to bite the bullet and purchase the Small package, which costs $14/month, which is quite expensive. However, the advantage is that it can prevent a large part of abuse.

The order page shows $14/month, but there is an 80% discount for the first payment. I don't know how long this discount will last, but the actual payment was $11.20.

Ping Test

The local ping delay to Sichuan Telecom is around 80ms, with a 1% packet loss. The Super Ping is around 80-100ms. Overall, the performance is good.

I used "PHP Server Monitor" for monitoring and found that there is some network fluctuation during the evening peak hours, but there is no packet loss. The network is relatively stable during the day.

Route Tracing

The following image shows the route tracing from Sichuan Telecom. It goes through the Shanghai exit and directly connects to mainland China. It uses the KDDI route, which is the same as the Linode JP1 route. However, new users can no longer purchase the Linode JP1 route, and the NTT route for Linode JP2 is often congested due to a large number of users. KDDI is more stable, but the price is naturally higher.

Disk I/O and Download

The average read and write speed reaches 300M/s. I inquired about the bandwidth issue with the official server, and the response was "the bandwidth is limited to 30Mbps, and the host resources are sufficient." It is unknown whether the host is 100M or 1000M. From the download speed, it can reach 30Mbps (the speed may decrease during the evening peak hours).

Other Information

The Small package includes 2 CPUs, 1GB of RAM, 40GB of disk space, and 600GB of traffic. The price is $14/month. When I made the purchase, I submitted a ticket to request an additional 1GB of RAM as a gift (the duration is unclear). If you have any questions, you can directly submit a ticket for consultation. As a Chinese merchant, support tickets can be written in Chinese.

I chose Paypal for payment, but the payment failed. The customer service explained that Paypal is often abused in China. Later, I successfully made the payment using Alipay.

Summary

The disk read and write performance is good, but the bandwidth is limited and not particularly sufficient, so it is not suitable for using as a VPN. The price is indeed a bit high, and the cost-effectiveness is not high. However, if you plan to build a website honestly, choosing Pzea should be fine.
