Detailed company information for Pzea is not available on their official website. Based on online information, the company has been operating for about 6 to 7 years. Before purchasing, I searched for Pzea on Hostloc and found the reputation to be quite good. Currently, they primarily promote Asian servers (Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan) with direct connections to mainland China, which results in higher prices.

Pzea Server Info

The official website has discontinued OpenVZ VPS; all servers now use KVM architecture. The Mini (512MB) plan is out of stock. After consulting customer service, I was informed that resources in the Japan data center are tight, and there are no discount activities available. Reluctantly, I purchased the Small plan. At $14/month, it is indeed expensive, but a benefit is that it deters a large portion of abuse.

Pzea Pricing

The order page displays $14/month. There was an 80% discount on the first payment, though the duration of this offer is unknown. The actual payment was $11.20.

Ping Test

Local Sichuan Telecom ping latency is around 80ms with 1% packet loss. Superping results range from 80-100ms. Overall, the performance is quite good.

Using PHP Server Monitor for monitoring, I found some network fluctuations during peak evening hours, but no packet loss occurred. The connection was relatively stable during the day.

Route Tracing

The figure below shows the route tracing from Sichuan Telecom. The traffic exits from Shanghai with a direct connection to mainland China, utilizing the KDDI line. This is the same line used by Linode JP1. However, new users can no longer purchase Linode JP1, and Linode JP2's NTT line is often unstable due to excessive user influx. KDDI is more stable, which naturally comes with a higher price.

Disk I/O and Download Speed

Average read/write speeds reach 300MB/s. Regarding server bandwidth, the official response was: "Bandwidth is limited to 30Mbps, and host resources are sufficient." The host machine's bandwidth (100M or 1000M) is unknown, but download speeds can reach 30Mbps (though speeds may drop during peak evening hours).

Other Notes

The Small configuration includes 2 CPUs, 1GB RAM, 40GB HDD, and 600GB traffic, priced at $14/month. When I purchased, I submitted a ticket to request an additional 1GB of RAM (it is unclear how long this will last). For any questions, you can submit a ticket directly. As a Chinese merchant, they support tickets in Chinese.

I chose to pay via PayPal, but the payment failed. Customer service explained that domestic PayPal accounts are often abused. I subsequently switched to Alipay and successfully completed the payment.

Conclusion

Disk read/write performance is good. Compared to other foreign VPS providers, the bandwidth is limited and not particularly abundant, making it unsuitable for proxy usage. The price is indeed a bit high with poor cost-performance ratio. However, if you intend to build a website legitimately, Pzea is a viable option.
