Due to ChatGPT Plus not supporting direct binding and payment with domestic credit cards in China, we can first bind the credit card to Google Play and then subscribe to ChatGPT Plus through the ChatGPT APP using Google Play. Xiaoz has personally tested this method and confirmed its feasibility.

Preparation

• A domestic VISA or MasterCard credit card
• A US Google Play account (remember to use a tax-free state address in the US)
• A clean magic internet access point
• An Android phone

Cancel Current ChatGPT Plus Subscription

If you have previously subscribed to ChatGPT Plus using an overseas virtual card, you need to go to the ChatGPT web version, bottom left corner - Manage Subscription, and cancel the current plan. After cancellation, Plus will not immediately expire but will expire on the next billing date. The purpose of this step is to facilitate us to resubscribe to ChatGPT Plus through the mobile app, as the app will not be operable if you do not cancel the existing subscription.

If your account is not subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, you can directly ignore this step.

Install ChatGPT APP

Note: Google Play requires a US account, otherwise you may not be able to search for and install ChatGPT.

Bind Domestic Credit Card to Google Play

Open Google Play, click on the top right corner - Payment and Subscription.

Click on "Payment methods".

Find "Add credit or debit card" and follow the system prompts to add your domestic VISA/MasterCard credit card.

Subscribe to ChatGPT Plus

Open the ChatGPT APP, click on the bottom left corner, and find "Subscription".

Select the domestic credit card you just bound, and then confirm the subscription.

Note: Your Google Play billing address needs to use a tax-free state address in the US, otherwise there may still be taxes. There are 5 tax-free states in the US: Alaska (part of Alaska), Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. These addresses can be found using Google Maps!

Conclusion

The above method uses a domestic credit card bound to Google Play to indirectly subscribe to ChatGPT Plus, recommended for friends without overseas virtual cards to try. If you are paying the OpenAI API bill, you still need to use an overseas virtual card. It is recommended to use the virtual cards listed below to pay the OpenAI bill:
