Jellyfin is an open-source media player that allows you to centrally manage your multimedia files such as movies and music. It now supports a Windows client, which eliminates the need for server-side decoding and greatly improves playback smoothness.

When you first open the Jellyfin client, you need to enter the server connection address, account, and password to log in. The interface currently only supports English.
After logging in, you can manage multimedia files just like in the web version. When you click play, it will call the MPV player, which is much smoother than the web version due to client-side decoding.
Jellyfin PC client is developed based on MPV. Although the experience is not particularly good, having it is better than not having it. After installing the Windows client, you no longer rely on server-side decoding, which is a great blessing for users with weak server CPUs. Jellyfin users, give it a try!
