Recharging Your Balance

Recharging your balance with Tiptrans is not very user-friendly for domestic users. They support PayPal and bank transfers, but it is not an instant process. xiaoz triggered the risk control system when recharging for the first time using PayPal, and it took about a day for the balance to be credited automatically. It is recommended for newcomers to use PayPal for recharging, with a minimum recharge requirement of $10.

For the first use, you can also choose not to recharge initially. After the package is stored, the balance will be automatically deducted to a negative amount, and then you can recharge to offset it.

Package Storage

When your package arrives at the corresponding address and is stored, Tiptrans will send you an email notification, which will also include a scanned (photographed) screenshot.

You can then check the detailed information in the backend, and there will be a storage fee of $10 for the first storage, but subsequent storage fees do not seem to be charged.

Forwarding the Package Back to Your Country

When forwarding the package, you need to provide key information, such as:

I chose Royal Mail for forwarding from the UK to China, and it was handed over to EMS in China, so I could also track the logistics progress through EMS. The timeline is as follows:

Also for forwarding a regular letter, the cost was $0 for storage + $5 for packing + $1 for insurance + $7 for shipping = $13. This plan is much cheaper than the UK plan, and I chose the problematic Czech Post as the logistics carrier. The timeline is as follows:

• June 11, 2023: Arrived in Beijing
• June 16, 2023: Successfully received

The Czech Post is very slow, and there was no update in the logistics information for 17 days. I initially thought the package was lost, but it eventually arrived successfully. Some people also chose the same Czech Post service and received it in about a week. I think it may be because the packages are delivered in batches after reaching a certain number, so I may have had the longest waiting time.
