IPinfo is an aggregated IP query tool developed in PHP and open-sourced on GitHub. Interested users can visit here. uTools is an efficiency tool frequently used by xiaoz, featuring a rich ecosystem of plugins. However, it was noticed that the plugin center lacked a high-quality IP query tool, so a custom plugin was developed. The following refers specifically to the uTools IPinfo plugin.

In the previously released IPinfo plugin, some users complained about an unsmooth workflow. This time, the IPinfo plugin has been completely rewritten for a more convenient experience. Let's explore the changes.

Install the IPinfo Plugin

Press Alt + Space to launch uTools, type "Plugin Center" to open it, then search for "IPinfo" and click the download button to install the plugin.

Using IPinfo

Simply press Alt + Space to launch uTools and type IP to use the tool, as shown below.

Upon opening the IPinfo plugin, it automatically retrieves your IP address and queries its location.

In the IPinfo sub-window, you can directly type the IP address you wish to query to get the results. Alternatively, you can enter the IP in the input box on the plugin interface. Both input methods are available; choose whichever is more convenient.

Is that all? Of course not. You can copy an IP address from anywhere, press Alt + Space to launch uTools, which will automatically recognize the IPinfo plugin, and then click to query.

However, this method requires manual IP input the second time you open it, as it won't automatically recognize the copied IP. We can utilize uTools' Super Panel feature to achieve automatic recognition and querying of any copied IP.

Add the IPinfo keyword in the Super Panel and record your Super Panel launch method (in this case, the middle mouse button).

Next time, after copying an IP, simply open the Super Panel (middle mouse button) and select IPinfo to automatically query the IP.

How convenient, isn't it?
