Raksmart Japan VPS Review: China-Optimized Network and Performance Test

Recently, Raksmart sent out a Double 11 promotional email. After noticing a Japan VPS with a reasonable price, I purchased one to conduct a simple test, hoping to provide a reference for those in need.

Disk I/O test results show an average I/O of only 67.6 MB/s, which is quite poor.

Bandwidth is strictly limited with no redundancy, and both upload and download speeds are capped.

Super Ping test shows an average latency of 80ms from within China, which is acceptable.

Route Test

Beijing Unicom direct connection uses the Japan SoftBank line, which is decent.

Sichuan Telecom connects to Japan via Guangdong exit using a BGP line:

Guiyang Mobile appears to route through Hong Kong:

Interestingly, the return path to Sichuan Telecom seems to use the CN2 network (uncertain if this is ICMP optimization):

Please note that network adjustments may occur later; the above results are for reference only.

Conclusion

The Raksmart Japan VPS I purchased has poor disk performance and strictly limited bandwidth, but the network performance is acceptable. I will update this review after using it for a longer period.
