My Double 11 Tech Haul: Standing Desks, Monitors, and More
It's that time of year again for Double 11. Besides buying virtual items like software and VPS, IT professionals tend to enjoy buying electronics. This time, I've splurged on some gadgets (and will be eating instant noodles for a month). Let's share the details.
iPhone 13
Bought this for my wife. I've never used such an expensive phone, and I still haven't used it myself; I'll stick to my Xiaomi 10s.

Monitor: SANC N50Pro 2
SANC was established in 1998. Although it has been around for a while, many people might not know this brand. It seems they only started making monitors in recent years. Compared to top-tier brands like Samsung, LG, and AOC, there is still a gap, but the price is very affordable, making it a niche brand.

Apart from the cardboard box the monitor came in, there was no other packaging, which felt a bit flimsy. If a hard object poked it, it would be game over.

It comes with a DP cable, so please check if your device has a DP port; otherwise, you may need to buy an HDMI cable separately.

The top half of the panel is very thin. Officially, it claims to use a glass backplate, which feels nice to the touch. The logo lights up, though having a glowing logo on the back seems pointless since no one stares at the back of the screen.

Disadvantages:
- Non-ergonomic stand; the stand is not adjustable (neither up/down nor tilt).
- Quality control and after-sales service may not match top-tier manufacturers (though it comes with a three-year warranty).
Advantages:
- Affordable price and supports 144Hz high refresh rate, making it great for gaming.
- Rich interface selection: 1x VGA, 2x HDMI, 1x DP, plus an audio output port.
- Only one button for quick mode switching, which is very convenient.
Summary:
A common issue with IPS panels is backlight bleed. The N50Pro 2 claims to use a glass module to solve this, but in my actual test, there was still slight backlight bleed. However, it is much better than my other Skyworth monitor, so the control over backlight bleed is relatively good. The biggest highlight of this monitor is its low price and support for 144Hz high refresh rate.
A quick reminder: buying monitors can feel like a lottery, even with top-tier brands. There may be backlight bleed or dead pixels. Be sure to check for these issues upon arrival and apply for after-sales service immediately if problems are found.
Brateck (K1-WM) Electric Standing Desk
Last July, I bought a Brateck standing desk. After getting used to coding and gaming while standing, I couldn't go back to sitting. So, during this Double 11 sale, I bought a standing desk to further improve the experience. I recommend this for anyone who sits for long periods.

The K1-WM weighs 28.45kg, making it impossible for one person to move. In the end, two people and a small dolly were needed for transport. Since I was at work during delivery, I'm not sure if home delivery can be requested (my cat is already impatient to help me install it).

Installation takes some effort; it's best to have someone assist you, as it can be a bit tough. Following the instructions, the installation difficulty is not high. The K1-WM design is reasonable; when raised to about 1.1m, there is a slight wobble, but it is more stable than my previous standing desk. Here is a photo of my messy desk.

Summary:
During the sale, the K1-WM was only around 900 RMB, offering great value compared to other brands. The K1-WM has a single motor. I chose the 28mm/s lifting speed (though 38mm/s is available for higher needs), which is within an acceptable range. If you want to experience standing office work, the K1-WM is a great entry-level choice.

Philips SPA33 Bluetooth + Wired Dual-Mode Speaker (Failure)
They say a 100 RMB speaker is just for making noise. I had a pair of Edifier small speakers that I used for 5 years, so it was time for an upgrade. I chose this pair of Philips SPA33 Bluetooth + wired dual-mode speakers. See the two pictures below.

After using it for a few days, this speaker failed. There was a buzzing sound when plugged into USB, and changing the cable didn't help. I returned it and do not recommend it.

Delixi USB Vertical Power Strip
Everyone knows "Bull" (Gongniu), but many might not know "Delixi." Before this, I hadn't heard of it either. Actually, Delixi is a well-established domestic brand (founded in 1984) and should be reliable. There are few manufacturers of vertical power strips, but I think this vertical design is quite nice as it saves space and looks good.
I initially thought this socket had outlets on only three sides, but upon receiving it, I was surprised. All four sides have outlets (I think the 8-port version would have been enough), and it also comes with 3 USB ports. However, the price is really high, close to 100 RMB, making it the most expensive power strip I've ever bought.

Final Thoughts
JD.com prices have been fluctuating recently. The Double 11 sale runs from October 31st to November 11th, and prices may change daily. If you are interested in a product, keep an eye on it and buy when the price is right.
I also bought some miscellaneous small items, which I won't list one by one. Feel free to leave a comment below to discuss what good deals you bought or ask any questions.
