I don't know if friends using Windows 10 have encountered the issue of being unable to open the Microsoft Store. Recently, Xiaoz encountered this problem. The solutions found online are varied and may not work for everyone. Xiaoz has compiled some commonly used methods in the hope that they will be helpful.
One of the error codes Xiaoz recently encountered is: 0x80131500
. The following methods can theoretically solve similar error codes as well.
Method 1: Modify Internet Properties in IE Browser
Press Win + R
to open the Run dialog, then type inetcpl.cpl
.
After opening Internet Properties, go to "Advanced" and find and check TLS 1.2, and uncheck TLS 1.0.
Method 2: Reset the Windows Store
In the Windows Start menu, search for "Microsoft Store" in the search bar, right-click on it, and go to "App settings".
Find the "Repair" and "Reset" buttons. You can try repairing first, and if that doesn't work, try resetting.
Method 3: Check your proxy settings
Some friends who use proxy software like ss or v2 may also encounter issues with the Windows Store. You can try disabling such proxy tools. Note that you should disable them instead of directly exiting the software, as exiting the software may not stop the proxy from running. For example, the v2 client has an option to "Disable HTTP Proxy".
Alternatively, you can refer to step 1 and open the "Internet Options" in the IE browser, go to "Connections", and uncheck "Use automatic configuration script" in the LAN settings.
Finally,
If you have also encountered the issue of being unable to open the Windows Store and the above methods did not solve it, feel free to leave a comment and share your solution.
