UltraVPS Netherlands Datacenter Review: 750GB HDD VPS Performance Test
UltraVPS is an established hosting provider with over a decade of history in Germany, operating brands such as ProviderService, ProviderDienste, ultravps, and getkvm. For those unfamiliar, you can refer to my previous review: UltraVPS Los Angeles Datacenter Review, 15% Off for New Users.
In the article HostHatch VPS Los Angeles Datacenter, KVM Virtualization, Large Hard Drive (with Review), I evaluated HostHatch's large-disk VPS in Los Angeles. While HostHatch offered impressive disk I/O, actual usage over time revealed stability issues. Consequently, I purchased another UltraVPS large-disk VPS for a simple test.

Disk I/O Test
UltraVPS's Storage product line focuses on large hard drives, so it does not use SSDs. The average I/O test result is 122.0 MB/s, which naturally cannot compete with SSD-based VPS plans.
Upload & Download Speeds
The following test measures download speed, reaching a maximum of 56.7 MB/s. This translates to a bandwidth of approximately 400Mbps. The official specifications do not state the exact bandwidth, and it is unclear if throttling occurs during sustained full-speed usage.
The next test measures upload speed, with a maximum upload speed of 19.31 MB/s, which is inferior to the download speed.
Ping & Route Tracing
Ping tests from Sichuan Telecom show an average latency of 236ms, comparable to US West Coast servers. Please note that latency is for reference only and may vary by region and time of day.
Sichuan Telecom routes traffic through the Guangzhou exit directly to Europe. I did not perform detailed route tracing for other regions, but the official provider offers test IPs for interested users to track themselves (details below).
Important Purchase Instructions
UltraVPS's purchasing process differs from other providers. You must first fill out an order form, after which you will receive a payment link via email. Once payment is completed, the account enters an audit state. After the audit is passed, control panel and server information will be sent again.
Datacenter Selection
UltraVPS offers large-disk VPS in only two datacenters: Netherlands and Germany. The network performance of both is similar. Below are the official test addresses for those interested in testing:

Conclusion
The price of €48.00/year includes tax. If you select the region as China, tax can be exempted, reducing the price to approximately €40, which converts to about 315 RMB. The cost-performance ratio is quite high.
Currently, there are very few reviews available online regarding UltraVPS's large-disk VPS in the Netherlands. I hope this article serves as a useful reference for those in need.
