Vultr Launches $3.5/Month VPS Plan with Global Data Center Options

In March 2017, Vultr launched a $2.5/month plan (see article: Vultr launches $2.5 plan, new users get $10 credit). Unfortunately, this $2.5 plan is now discontinued; the remaining $2.5 options only support IPv6 without IPv4. Consequently, Vultr has introduced a new $3.5/month plan.

$3.5 Plan Specifications

  • CPU: 1 Core
  • RAM: 512MB
  • Bandwidth: 500GB/month

The Vultr new user promotion offering a $25 credit is still active. The registration link is: https://www.vultr.com/. However, the following conditions apply:

  • Limited to new users only.
  • A minimum deposit of $5 is required after registration.
  • Do not use the same IP address to register multiple Vultr accounts.
  • Do not use the same PayPal account for payment, as this may be flagged as fraud.

Data Center Selection

Vultr currently operates 15 data centers. Network quality varies by location depending on the user's network environment. Below are the test links for Vultr's 15 data centers; users are encouraged to test them individually. Additionally, Vultr charges on an hourly basis, so switching data centers is quick and easy if a location is unsatisfactory.
