ClipboardFusion: The Ultimate Clipboard Enhancer for Windows

ClipboardFusion allows you to easily remove text formatting from the clipboard, replace clipboard text, or run powerful macros on clipboard content. You can even synchronize your clipboard with other computers and mobile devices. If you frequently copy and paste text back and forth, ClipboardFusion can be a huge help.

Basic Settings

ClipboardFusion comes in both a Free version and a Pro version. The Pro version handles multi-device synchronization of clipboard content. Upon first installation, you receive a one-month trial of the Pro version, but the Free version is generally sufficient for most needs.

ClipboardFusion supports Chinese by default, so language barriers are not a concern. After installation, your main task is to configure hotkeys to easily access the clipboard history when copying. Navigate to Settings > Hotkeys > Show History Menu and set a shortcut key that you are familiar with. This is very important; other hotkeys can be configured according to your preferences.

To call up the clipboard history, simply press the shortcut key you just set, as shown in the screenshot below.

During use, you may notice a pop-up notification appearing in the bottom right corner after every copy action (tested on Windows 10). Attempting to disable this in the settings may not work. An alternative solution is to go to Windows Settings > System > Notifications & actions, find ClipboardFusion, and turn off its notifications.

Summary

It may take some time to get used to using a clipboard tool, but after a while, you will find it becomes second nature and your efficiency will improve. I highly recommend it. xiaoz's blog previously introduced another clipboard tool, Windows Clipboard Tool Ditto, for even higher efficiency. Compared to ClipboardFusion, Ditto has simpler functions but a slightly inferior interface. If you don't mind the aesthetics, you might want to give it a try.

2018-05-06 Update: After using ClipboardFusion for a while, although it is feature-rich, occasional errors or lag during pasting were observed. Its smoothness does not match that of Ditto.
