Unlike other service providers, Youhuibao does not offer fixed data packages. Instead, it operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, deducting charges only for the data used. This offers great flexibility. If you also need a Hong Kong phone number, a service fee of 36 HKD/year is required. You can freely choose your number, and receiving SMS messages is free.

The Youhuibao Long-Term Card supports both physical SIM cards and eSIMs. The differences are as follows:

  • eSIM Card: Requires a phone that supports eSIM, with a minimum face value of 50 HKD.

Number Retention

The card is considered "long-term" because it has a validity period of one year after activation. If there is any consumption or usage record within that year, the validity is extended by another year (the number requires a 36 HKD/year renewal fee). In simple terms, using the card at least once within a year is sufficient to retain the number, with a minimum retention cost of approximately 36.1 HKD/year.

Roaming Data in Mainland China

Testing by the author confirms that when roaming in mainland China, the IP address belongs to Hong Kong, allowing direct access to services like Google and YouTube.

Special Features

The phone number can be linked and bound to the mini-program, allowing SMS messages to be received directly within the mini-program, eliminating the hassle of keeping a physical SIM card inserted for long periods.

Important Notes

  • If you intend to use this card within Hong Kong, real-name authentication is required due to compliance regulations. Real-name authentication is not required for use within mainland China.
  • The author tested that eUICC cards cannot write eSIM configurations. Therefore, if you choose the eSIM card, your phone must natively support eSIM functionality, otherwise it will not work!

Conclusion

The Youhuibao Long-Term Card connects you to mainland China and 22 other Asia-Pacific regions with flexible pay-as-you-go billing. It offers a selectable Hong Kong number for easy SMS reception and overseas service registration. Supporting both physical cards and eSIMs, it features a low annual fee after activation and auto-renewal upon consumption, making it a convenient choice for business travelers and users requiring multiple numbers.
