After registering a UK company, you must submit a Confirmation Statement to Companies House annually, even if there have been no changes to your company information. This report serves to confirm and update basic company details such as the registered address, directors, shareholders, and Persons with Significant Control (PSC). Failure to submit on time may result in the company being marked as "Overdue" or even facing the risk of compulsory dissolution (Strike Off), so it is crucial to complete the submission within the specified timeframe.

Fees

The fee for the Confirmation Statement has increased from £13 to £34. Payment can be made via PayPal or a debit card. The author used a WISE virtual card for this purpose.

Submitting the Confirmation Statement

The Companies House Confirmation Statement page has been redesigned, with both a new version and an old version available. Theoretically, submissions can be made through either portal.

Most tutorials currently available online are based on the old version. To be safe, the author chose to submit via the old version address.

The account for the old submission address (WebFiling) is not linked to the standard Companies House account, so you will need to register a new account to proceed.

Before starting the submission, you will be asked to enter your company number and registered region. If you are unsure which region to select, you can provide your company address to an AI assistant for guidance.

Next, enter the company authorization code (Authentication Code) provided when you registered your UK company. For reference, see: About Registering a UK Company.

The remaining information is straightforward; simply follow the prompts to fill it out. If you encounter any uncertainties, you can ask an AI assistant for help.

The declaration fee is £34, payable via PayPal or a debit card. Your company information will be updated within 24 hours after submission. You can verify the update by visiting Search the register.
