Update Details

Support for SMB Mounting

In previous versions, we already supported mounting S3 and WebDAV network storage. Version 4.2.2 adds SMB mounting support. You can add SMB mounts in the [Management Panel - Network Storage]. We will support more storage types in the future, so stay tuned.

Batch Download

In previous versions, Zdir supported batch downloading, but this feature relied on browser performance, limiting the total size of packaged files to 500MB, which was somewhat inconvenient. In version 4.2.2, we added batch download, allowing users to select multiple large files and download them together (server-side compression support will be added later).

Text Encoding Switching

Some users use text encodings other than UTF-8, causing garbled text when previewing files. Version 4.2.2 now supports text encoding switching, allowing users to manually switch encodings to eliminate garbled text issues.

Note that when editing text, the backend still saves using UTF-8 encoding.

Optimized PDF Preview

In previous versions of Zdir, PDF preview relied on the browser itself. In the new version, we switched to the pdf.js scheme, providing better compatibility for preview effects across different browsers.
