Getting Started with UpNote
Logging into UpNote
UpNote relies on Google's Firebase service for operation. However, due to specific reasons, this service cannot be directly accessed within China. Therefore, users in China need to use proxy tools to connect; otherwise, they may be unable to log in and sync notes. If you do not have proxy tools, using UpNote is not recommended.
For Windows or macOS platforms, it is recommended to use Proxifier to implement application-level proxy to solve UpNote synchronization issues. For details, please refer to: https://blog.xiaoz.org/archives/20785
Subscribing to UpNote
The free version of UpNote supports only 50 notes. Users can upgrade to the premium version via in-app purchases on Android or iOS platforms, which removes the note limit. It is worth noting that the Windows client does not support direct upgrades. Once subscribed to the premium version, users can use UpNote on all supported platforms without limiting the number of logged-in devices.

Setting Chinese Language
Open the settings button, find the language switch option, and select "Chinese (Simplified)."

Editor Settings
- New Note Starts With: Recommended to set to H1, which simply means setting the default heading size.
- Paragraph Spacing: Recommended to adjust appropriately; otherwise, block content may appear very compact. Set other items as needed.

Custom Note Cover
UpNote supports custom note covers. You can set your preferred cover for notes to make them more personalized. After setting the cover, it will sync across all platforms. When creating a notebook, click "Cover +" to upload your own cover.

After customizing the cover, the display effect looks more beautiful.

Notebook Locking
You can lock notebooks using the method below to protect your notes. The first time you set this, you will be required to set a separate notebook password, and subsequent unlocks will require this separate password. However, UpNote does not support locking individual notes, only notebooks.

Link Sharing
On the note page, click the share button to share a single note via link. However, UpNote does not support displaying all shared lists, so remember to cancel sharing when no longer needed.

The above is an introduction to the basic functions of UpNote. If you are interested, feel free to install it and explore its various features.
