How to Fix the OCBC 360 Account 'No Card' Issue in Singapore

Last year, xiaoz opened a Singapore OCBC account and applied for an OCBC 360 account. However, a situation arose where the account existed but no card was issued. I am unsure if this was due to selecting self-employment, modifying the card name, or triggering a specific OCBC bug. If you have encountered the same issue of having a 360 account but no card after applying, yet still need a debit card, you can follow the steps below.

Modify Mailing Address (Optional)

Changing the mailing address is done to add phone number information in preparation for card delivery. If your address information is already completely correct, you can skip this step.

Open the OCBC web address: https://internet.ocbc.com/internet-banking/

Logging into the web version will require you to fill in:

  • Access Code: The name you set when opening the account.
  • PIN: The 6-digit PIN code you set when opening the account.

A "OneToken" two-factor authentication popup will appear. It is likely that you will not receive this notification on domestic networks. You can click "Alternatively, you may generate an OTP manually on your mobile device."

Then, open the "OCBC Digital" app. Do not immediately verify with your fingerprint to enter the app. Instead, click "More" at the bottom right, find "OneToken," obtain the 6-digit authentication code, and enter it into the webpage to log in.

I changed the OCBC web version to Chinese language and clicked "Customer Service - Change Mailing Address" in the navigation bar.

Directly check all your accounts and proceed to the next page.

Then fill in the new address information:

  • Address Type: Overseas
  • Address Line 1: Fill in your mobile number and street address (use ChatGPT to help translate).
  • Address Line 2: Fill in your district and city (Pinyin is acceptable).
  • Address Line 3: The postal code of your residence.
  • Country/Region: China.

On the next page, save and confirm the address. The purpose of filling in your mobile number in Address Line 1 is that OCBC may not print your phone number on the logistics information, which could prevent the courier from contacting you normally.

Hide Existing 360 Account

Continue in the web version backend under "Navigation Bar - Customer Service - Link or Unlink Accounts."

Then uncheck the existing 360 account and click the next page.

The purpose of this step is to hide the existing 360 account. If not hidden, the 360 account application button will not appear on the app. We need to hide it first, then reapply for a 360 account via the app.

Reapply for a 360 Account

Return to the OCBC Digital app, click "Menu - Apply - Account" in the top left corner, and select "360 Account" (If you have already applied for a 360 account and did not hide it, the 360 account will not appear here).

Confirm if the address information is correct. If the address is incorrect, refer to the "Change Mailing Address" section above. For self-employed individuals, I selected "No" this time.

Next, you will be asked to confirm the name on the debit card. It is recommended to keep it as default. Previously, xiaoz modified the name order, but this time I dared not modify it.

This time it went smoothly, and it opened instantly. Both the 360 account and debit card were activated. It is recommended to save the screenshot below, which contains virtual card information. It is said that the virtual card will be invalidated after the physical card is received.

Request Tracking Number

The 360 debit card is sent by default via tracked registered mail. The phone number is not printed on the letter by default (it is recommended to write the phone number in the address line). If you need to check the logistics status, you can send an email in English to customer service via the app's secure email to request the tracking number.

Customer service usually responds within 5 working days. After obtaining the tracking number, you can query via EMS logistics. Generally, the card is received within 2 weeks. It is recommended to monitor the logistics status and contact the courier proactively.

xiaoz applied on January 11 and received the debit card on January 24, less than 2 weeks. If you have not received your 360 debit card after more than 2 weeks, it is likely that the package was lost.

Conclusion

If you have encountered the same "account without card" issue after applying for an OCBC 360 account as xiaoz did, you can follow the method above to "unlink the 360 account" on the web, then reapply for a 360 account via the app to activate the 360 debit card. After this operation, you will have two 360 accounts simultaneously. It is uncertain whether the previous 360 account will be deleted. Finally, wait for OCBC to mail the physical card, which usually takes about 2 weeks.
