HostKVM was established in 2013, with related brands including LOCVPS and ZJI, supporting payments via Alipay and PayPal. HostKVM has appeared on Xiaoz Blog before; this provider is suitable for website building users but not for other special purposes. Interested readers can refer to my previous articles: https://blog.xiaoz.org/?s=hostkvm. This time, I deployed a business for a client and purchased a Los Angeles, USA VPS for a simple test.

Test Address

HostKVM's US data center provides Zone A and Zone B. Below are the two official test addresses provided, which can be accessed directly for speed testing:

Simple Test

I ordered from Zone A, so the following results are all test results from Zone A servers, for reference only.

The host CPU is E5-2660, and disk I/O is 200M+. This I/O performance is considered average.

Additionally, the purchase page clearly states that the US instantaneous bandwidth is 150Mbps. My test showed that both upload and download speeds reached the full 150Mbps.

Testing was conducted via Sichuan Telecom, and both the outbound and return routes utilized the CN2 network.

I did not bother testing Mobile and Unicom networks. The domestic network super ping test showed 158.1ms. This latency is slightly better than non-US West CN2 machines.

Purchase

Summary

HostKVM does not allow illegal business or proxy services. Please read the terms of use carefully when purchasing to avoid misunderstandings. Most of HostKVM's data centers have optimizations for domestic networks, making them suitable for legitimate website building. If you need it, go ahead.
