HostKvm was founded in 2013, and its related brands include LOCVPs/ZJI. It supports payments via Alipay and Paypal. HostKvm has appeared on XiaoZ's blog before. It is suitable for website building users but not for other special purposes. If you are interested, you can refer to my previous article: https://blog.xiaoz.org/?s=hostkvm. This time, I deployed a service for a customer and bought a VPS in Los Angeles, USA. Let's do a simple test.

Test Address

HostKVM's US data center provides Zone A and Zone B. Below are the official test addresses for each zone, which can be accessed directly for speed testing:

Simple Test

Xiaoz ordered Zone A, so the following results are all from the tests on Zone A servers, for your reference only.

The CPU of the host machine is E5-2660, and the disk I/O is around 200M+, which can only be considered average.

In addition, on the purchase page, the official website clearly states that the instant bandwidth for billing in the US is 150Mbps. Xiaoz tested it and found that both upload and download speeds can reach the full 150Mbps.

For testing with Sichuan Telecom's network, both outbound and inbound routes use CN2 networks.

I am too lazy to test with China Mobile and China Unicom. The super ping test for domestic networks shows a latency of 158.1ms, which is slightly better than non-US West CN2 servers.

Purchase

Conclusion

HostKVM does not allow illegal business or VPN usage. Please read the terms of use carefully when making a purchase to avoid misunderstandings. HostKVM has optimized most of its data centers for domestic networks and is suitable for legitimate website building purposes.
