Uploading to 1Fichier

1Fichier supports FTP upload, web upload, and remote upload (offline download). Let's take a look at each method.

FTP Upload

If you have used FTP tools before, you should be familiar with this method. Here are the upload details:

• FTP username: Your registered email address
• FTP password: Your 1Fichier password
• Port: 21

When uploading files via FTP, they will be stored in a temporary space. You need to go to 1Fichier's backend - FTP Management - and choose how the uploaded files should be processed. The default option is automatic, which means the files will be automatically moved to "My Files" after uploading. You can also change it to manual mode, which requires you to manually click for the files to be moved after each upload. The official recommendation is to use manual mode for large files.

Note: If you encounter garbled file names during FTP upload, you can set the FTP character set to force UTF-8.

Web Upload

The official website provides a web upload feature. Simply click the button at the bottom to start uploading.

Remote Upload (Offline Download)

In 1Fichier's backend, go to Remote Upload and enter the link to initiate remote upload. It's similar to the offline download feature in Baidu Cloud. However, 1Fichier only supports http|https|ftp|ftps protocols.

Downloading Files

In 1Fichier's backend, go to My Files, select the file you want to download, and click the link button to view the download link. Free users may encounter a second redirect and advertisements when accessing the link, and there are download speed restrictions for free users.

Download Speed Test

The official provides the following test files for you to test the download speed:

Conclusion

Although free users on 1Fichier have speed restrictions, the upload and download speeds in some areas are still good, at least much better than the limited speed of Baidu Cloud. However, it is important to note that files of free users are only stored for 30 days, so it is not recommended to upload important and private data.
