Xiaoyao Cloud Hong Kong VPS Review: High Cost-Performance with Basic Testing
According to the official website introduction, Xiaoyao Cloud officially launched its hosting services in 2012, with Hong Kong VPS going online last year. The lowest configuration is 38 yuan per month, offering good cost-performance.

Network Test
Ping from Sichuan Telecom local network is stable at around 55ms, and the Super Ping test averages around 60ms. This latency is comparable to domestic hosts. The test was conducted during the day; during peak evening hours when export bandwidth is congested, it might be slightly worse. Route tracing to the mainland is direct, avoiding the detour through overseas SoftLayer data centers.

Upload and Download
With Sichuan Telecom network, local file upload speed is around 180KB/s, which is average. Downloading a file from the server to the local machine is also roughly the same speed, slightly better than domestic XX cloud servers with 1M bandwidth.

Disk I/O
Using the dd command for read/write testing, the write speed reached 247 MB/s, and the read speed was 98.4 MB/s. While not the best compared to foreign SSD hosts, the performance is still decent.

Conclusion
Xiaoyao Cloud Hong Kong VPS cannot be used to set up SS services, or it will be banned. Since the Hong Kong VPS is close to the mainland and does not require filing (ICP license), it is suitable for users who want to build websites legitimately.
