How to Unlock the Bootloader on Huawei Honor 4 Play (G621-TL00)
I couldn't resist buying a Huawei Honor 4 Play (Mobile 4G version, model G621-TL00) on JD.com during the Double 11 sale. Recently, the official website has opened applications for unlock codes for the Honor 4 Play, so you can apply directly on the official site instead of purchasing from third-party platforms like Taobao. Below is a tutorial on how to unlock it.
1. Download the Official Huawei Unlock Tool
2. Apply for an Unlock Code
- Phone Model: Check under "Settings > About Phone".
- Product S/N Number: Usually printed on the box or visible after removing the back cover.
- Product IMEI/MEID Number: Usually printed on the box or visible after removing the back cover.
- Product Identification Code: Dial

3. Enable USB Debugging Mode
This option must be checked. However, on Android 4.4, this option is hidden by default. To activate Developer Options, go to "Settings > About Phone" and tap the "Build Number" 7 times. Then, in Developer Options, check the box for "USB Debugging".

4. Install Drivers
Install software like WanDuoJie (豌豆荚) or ShuaJiJingLing (刷机精灵) on your computer. Connect the phone to the computer via USB, and the drivers will be installed automatically. After installation, turn off the phone.
5. Use the Unlock Tool
After obtaining the unlock code, use the unlock tool downloaded in Step 1 and follow the prompts to unlock the device. Note that before unlocking, ensure that:
- USB Debugging Mode is enabled (Step 3).
- Drivers are installed (Step 4).
- The phone is connected to the computer while in the powered-off state.
6. Check Status
While the phone is powered off, hold down the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. If "Unlocked" appears, the unlock was successful.
