A friend on QQ asked me which WordPress plugins I use, so I'm sharing the ones I'm currently using in this article. However, the plugins I use may not necessarily suit your needs. There are countless excellent WordPress plugins available, and you should choose based on your own requirements.

1. All In One SEO Pack

A very powerful SEO plugin that allows you to set website keywords and descriptions, as well as descriptions for individual articles or pages. However, some users have noted that this plugin isn't very friendly to Baidu. I occasionally use it to set descriptions for specific articles after installation.

2. Baidu Sitemap Generator

A Baidu sitemap plugin developed by a Chinese developer. After installation, it automatically generates a Baidu Sitemap XML file. This essentially subscribes your website to Baidu—the world's largest Chinese search engine—potentially bringing in traffic. It also generates a static sitemap page, which benefits all search engines. Xiao Z suggests adding the sitemap address to your robots.txt after installing this plugin.

3. Baidu Sitemap

This is a structured data plugin officially released by Baidu. Many users are already using it. Its function is to automatically submit article URLs to Baidu. After installation, you can view the submission history from the backend.

4. Google XML Sitemaps

Automatically generates Google sitemap files. It can be searched and installed directly in the WordPress backend. The plugin supports Chinese, and the backend options are quite rich. You can explore the features after installation.

5. WP-Syntax

A code highlighting plugin that is very helpful for blogs that post code. Using this plugin is slightly tricky; you need to reference it each time you insert code, and it cannot automatically detect the code language. However, since I have already posted a lot of code, I dare not switch to a different plugin easily. If you need one, you can look for similar plugins. For more details, see: WordPress Code Highlighting Plugin: WP-Syntax.

6. WPJAM Qiniu Mirror Storage

Developed by "I Love Boiled Fish," this Qiniu mirror plugin automatically mirrors static files to Qiniu Cloud Storage when installed and configured correctly. This includes blog images, JS, and CSS files. The latest version can also mirror Google Fonts and jQuery files. Using this plugin saves website space, reduces traffic usage, and improves speed. However, some users have reported that using this plugin caused their websites to display incorrectly. Please check your settings carefully, such as ensuring there are no extra or missing slashes.

7. WP Super Cache

A very powerful caching plugin that generates cached pages for your website to improve speed. For specific setup methods, you can search online. After using this plugin, updated content may not display immediately, which is normal. Just wait a while or delete the website cache to refresh.

8. Duoshuo

Duoshuo is a social commenting system that is much more beautiful and convenient than the default WordPress comment function. It includes the Akismet engine to block spam comments. You can also synchronize your posts to your Weibo or other social spaces while writing. However, this plugin has pros and cons; it may have a slight impact on website speed, so use it only if necessary.

Xiao Z Blog uses quite a few plugins. My advice to friends is to only use what you need, and prefer using code solutions when possible to avoid making the site too bloated and affecting user experience. Finally, thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
