Review: A4TECH FB12C - A Budget-Friendly Wireless Mouse with Type-C Charging
Introduction
Recently, I acquired an Intel NUC8 to set up a Hackintosh. The NUC is incredibly compact (it's likely the smallest mini-PC I've used). To adhere to the principle of "saving space and maintaining tidiness," I chose the Jingzao K2 Bluetooth Keyboard, so I also decided to use a wireless mouse.

Previously, I used the Xiaomi Wireless Mouse (Silent Version). Although it was quiet, the click felt too light and lacked tactile feedback. I'm not sure if this is unique to Xiaomi or common among silent mice, so I decided to switch to a different wireless mouse.

A4TECH FB12C
Due to budget constraints, I looked for an entry-level mouse around 100 yuan. After extensive searching and comparison, I chose the A4TECH FB12C. The JD Plus member price was only ¥64, which fit my budget perfectly.

I used an A4TECH keyboard and mouse set back in high school; they were cheap and durable. Fewer people seem to use this brand nowadays, but my impression remains that they offer great value. I wasn't sure about the current quality, but given the low price, I decided to give it a try.
Mouse Support Features
I'm not an expert on technical parameters, so I'll focus on the functional features:
- Supports Bluetooth mode (compatible with Windows, macOS, and Android)
- Supports 2.4G wireless mode
- Supports Type-C charging (Key Feature)
- Supports multi-device switching
For a wireless mouse in this price range to support Type-C charging is impressive; it easily outperforms competitors at the same price point.

Additional Notes
To use Bluetooth mode, your host device (computer) must support Bluetooth. Simply follow the manual to connect; no extra receiver is needed for Bluetooth (the official documentation does not specify the Bluetooth protocol version). If your device lacks Bluetooth, you can use the included 2.4G receiver instead.
A Type-C charging cable is included, which uses the same interface as Android devices. You can charge it with any standard phone charger. The official claim is that one charge lasts up to two months, but this depends on usage frequency; I estimate it will last less than two months. When not in use, you can turn off the switch on the bottom to save power.
The feel is much better than the Xiaomi mouse I bought before. For under 70 yuan, the number of features supported is surprising. Generally, wireless mice are more expensive than wired ones, and at the same price point, they may not match the experience of a wired mouse. Wireless mice are suitable for office work or daily use. If you have higher demands or play games, it is still best to stick with a wired mouse.
