When xiaoz registered an individual business in Chengdu in 2023, the official seal was not included, requiring a trip to a physical store. Due to lack of experience, only the official seal was engraved at that time. Recently (October 2026), when opening a corporate bank account, I returned to engrave the financial seal and the legal representative's seal, paying twice. I have compiled this experience as a reference for others.

How to Choose a Shop
Searching "seal engraving" on a map will show many options. However, it is recommended to choose shops that explicitly offer Public Security Filing (公安备案). These are more compliant and carry lower risks. Avoid cheap options that do not support public security filing. Otherwise, there are no special requirements.

First Engraving in 2023
At that time, I needed to sign a contract with a client and did not anticipate needing a corporate bank account, so the financial and legal representative seals were unnecessary. Only the official seal was engraved, costing 200 RMB and taking approximately 1 hour. The longer duration might have been due to initial public security审核 (audit) requirements.
Supplementing Financial and Legal Representative Seals in 2026
Recently, opening a corporate bank account required the official seal (already owned), the financial seal, and the legal representative's seal. Since I had not yet engraved the latter two, I visited a shop again. The process was similar, but this time it took only 10 minutes and cost 360 RMB.
Cost Analysis
Since I engraved the seals in two separate batches, the total cost was higher. If all three seals (official, financial, and legal representative) had been engraved at once initially, the price would likely have been lower. The combined cost for both trips was 560 RMB.
